This is a fantastic little demo which is great in its own right. One observation - it was pretty frustrating to find the last object  (which for me was the neon sun, for other people it might have been other objects). I scoured the map for it for the same amount of time it took me to find the other objects. And I ended up looking for it on Youtube. So you might want to introduce some sort of hint mechanic to prevent player frustration.
What engine did you use to develop it?

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I should be putting up an updated version of the game soon, and it does have a simple hint system.  It'll also have a quick teaser for Under a Juniper Sky included. As for the engine, I'm using Unity. It's really very nice, and there's tons of tutorials and help online for people who want to get into making games.

This is fantastic! Perhaps do a little more :) randomise locations for items and a timer to try and beat your own score finding them (as well as current zen mode). Regardless though this is the absolute best mini vr town I have seen.

Doesn't start, i click in "start game" and nothing happens, nothing i do works :(

By pressing the button on the controller, a pointer line should turn on. By touching that line to the 'start game' button, that button should be selected. Then by releasing the button on the controller, the game should progress to the next scene. I hope this helps.

no, even with the controller isnt works :(

Really enjoyed this, played on Rift S and it worked perfectly. I love the relaxing pace and the music made me start swaying and moving my hands haha. Can't wait for Under A Juniper Sky.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

I havent tested it yet but does this work on the oculus quest as well or is primarily for wired headsets?

I'm afraid I haven't tested it on the Oculus Quest. You could always give it a go and see if it works. Let me know if it does.

Played this at my local VR Cafe and I loved loved loved it! I was so sad when I got to the end. As a gamer who doesn't like fps this was awesome!!! ❤

I'm glad you liked it! I plan on updating it soon, then moving onto Under a Juniper Sky, the one with multiple locations and a story.

This is ADORABLE.  I loved it.  Your controller models were kind of messed up (buttons off-center and clipping into the model) but it didn't affect the game at all and I loved it.

Glad you liked it. Haven't run into the problem you mentioned, but I'll keep my eyes open for it. What were you using, a Vive or an Oculus Rift?

Rift S.  If I can get a screengrab later, I will do so.

Hello Shannon,

We're looking into the potential of offering A Shopping Trip to Eklan Tor within our VR LBE facilities across Canada, the U.S. and Costa Rica. If you would be interested in discussing further, please reach out to content@ctrlv.ca.

Great work and thanks for your time and consideration!

I really enjoyed this! A nice, chill experience. The snippets of lore were intriguing and I'd definitely be interested in playing a longer version.

For any Rift users reading: this works fine with OpenComposite if you don't want to use SteamVR.

Really amazing.Could be for ar or vr.I hope it hits the market. Its a bust.

This is hands down one of the best uses of VR I've experienced. The concept could, and definitely should, be scaled and applied to so many different themes and worlds. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes!

Fantastic experience, found everything but the neon sign... that was staring me straight in the face. A full game based on this concept would be amazing.

This is easily one of my favourite VR experiences I've had. There's an incredible amount of polish in the animations, interactions and visual style you've developed, and I can tell that probably took a lot of time and effort! I can't wait for the full game, it will be an instant buy from me :D

Thanks! I haven't gotten many responses about the game, so I'm really glad to hear you like it.

This is amazing! I've been waiting for something like this since I first tried VR. Incredibly excited for the full game.

Thanks! Hearing something like that really encourages me to keep working at it.

How do you open the game? Its in a .rar file...

Which this game VERY much sparks my interest just I can't play it. Because it is a .rar file?

You can unpack .rar files with WinRar. This software can be downloaded from https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm.

Thank You!

Great Graphics

cant click play for PC

Did you try the solution below?

I'm just stuck on the start page can't click to play or anything

To the right you should see instructions. They're different between Vive and Rift, but basically they tell you the button to press to select things from a distance. Then point the controller at the Start Game button, then release the button. That should work, reply if it doesn't.

I've afraid there not a non-VR version of this game on the horizon. Maybe after Juniper Sky is done I might consider it, but that's a few years out.

any chance of a non-vr version?

yes

timeline?

I did have a hidden object game that's 3D but non-VR that I never finished. You can see a screenshot at http://www.feverdream.org/unity-01.html. I might go back to it sometime if there's interest.

wow, yes interest intensified.
